There is a new show on TV in the US called ‘Outsourced’ which tracks the trials and tribulations of a US organisation dealing with moving its call centre operations to India. The humour in the show derives from the troubled communications characteristics of intercontinental teams. But wherever the laughs come from, the inspiration for the subject matter lies in the difficulty in managing the gap between two workgroups operating miles away from each other.
